I really need to start maxing out my Roth each year. It's one of my money goals for 2011.

Have you looked into index funds to invest that extra 2 percent? There's a lot of them available now days and many have pretty low annual fees. I use Vanguard because they've been good about keeping fees low, but obviously shop around and see what's right for you.

The lack of quality blogs for young professionals used to bother me too. Now that I have a little more experience I've decided to create my own young professionals blog. I'll be sharing what I've learned and hopefully others will join in and share their experiences.

Hi, it is a good thing you have taken the wheel of your own life.
Your goals are achievable, and fair.

But money is not everything, I think the skills to communicate with others, friends , clients etc, to be able to "sell" your ideas and suggestions is also very important aspect of life, success and happiness,

I often have a good idea for streamlining a process, making money or saving money at work, but most of my ideas get rejected because I lack the basic skills to present them in an acceptable and desirable form.

-my 2 cents.

Don't sell yourself short. It may not be doable for some, but who's to say you can't rock it?

If you have a will and a goal, you'll find the way.

$100k in 2 years is very admirable

Congrats on the + net worth!

The worst thing about saving all your receipts is having to enter them ALL IN at the end of the week/month. Torture. :)

That is my only motivation to do receipt-entering ASAP.

Definitely if you use mint.com the iPhone app is quite honestly just like the website & just as easy to use. Pageonce Bills is also a great free app that will keep track of most of your bills with push notifications... If you search expense in the app store that should give you the variety your looking for. I know it's October and the lease has been signed, but none-the-less, good luck in Chi-town...

nextdoorfinance.wordpress.com, I would love some pointers if willing?

I'd rather spend more and enjoy my food also! But I was shocked by how much he was able to buy by combining coupons and store reward things (catalinas?). He linked to another blog a few times where he writes about combining these things to get food for free or virtually free, which he then donates to local food banks. I was impressed!
